A HATCH Project (Hilltown Art & Thriving Community Happenings)

Saturday, November 5, from 4-6 PM in the common room, McCusker's Market, Shelburne Falls

Do you live in or near Shelburne Falls? Do you love it as much as we do? Come join singer/songwriter Robin Lane and her merry band of chirpin' birds to help write a song about what it's like to live here.

Community members, friends, and neighbors (that's YOU!), come help us write about the potholes, or the cows on Patten Hill, or the sun on the leaves on Mount Massamet, or anything, really.

We'll all work together to write the lyrics, then Robin will turn it into a song. The song will be professionally recorded, mixed, and mastered, and can then serve as both a promotional tool for the Greater Shelburne Falls Area Business Association - drawing in tourists and potential business owners - and as a sort of "anthem for the community."

We'll meet twice. The first meeting will be Saturday, November 5, from 4-6 PM in the common room at McCusker's, where we'll brainstorm and come up with lyrics and music. The second meeting will be shortly thereafter, at a location to be determined, where we will perform and record the song.

Everyone is invited to bring an instrument. You don't need to be a pro. Just show up and play.

Who's in? It'll be FUN!
